With ZTE Blade V8 Pro making its debut at CES early in January this year, the Chinese manufacturer has unwrapped the Mini and Lite version of the smartphone at MWC 2017 in Barcelona. ZTE introduced two mid-range smartphones-ZTE Blade V8 Mini and Blade V8 Lite at its event at the mobile trade show.

The ZTE Blade V8 Mini and V8 Lite though carry lower-end specifications, but the devices do packs some unique features. The Blade V8 Mini house a metal unibody design. The key highlight of the Blade V8 Mini is its camera setup. The smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel camera and 2-megapixel secondary sensor that enables the device to capture images with nice bokeh effects, along with the ability to re-focus a shot. There camera app also has a 3D shooting mode, that allows to take photos from varied angles and create a 3D image by combining them. On the front, the Blade V8 Mini sports a 5-megapixel camera. Specs wise, the V8 Mini house a 720p display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The device comes with 16GB on-board storage along with microSD card support. It packs a 2,800mAh battery. The fingerprint scanner is embedded on the back below the primary camera. The V8 Mini will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The pricing and availability of the ZTE Blade V8 Mini is not announced yet, but the device is expected to release first in the Asian and European markets.

The ZTE Blade V8 Lite meanwhile, is an affordable version that features similar design language as the V8 Mini. However, the V8 Lite packs a single rear camera instead of a dual-rear camera found in ZTE Blade V8 Mini. The phone sports a 5-inch HD display with 720p resolution, and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT 6750 processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM accompanied by 16GB internal memory and microSD support. The optics carry an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The fingerprint sensor is pitched on the rear panel. Both the ZTE Blade V8 Lite and V8 Mini runs on the company’s Mifavor 4.2 based Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

The ZTE Blade V8 Lite is slated to release in Italy, Germany, and Spain first followed by the European and Asia Pacific markets sometime later.
