ZTE India has sent out invites for the launch of a new smartphone in India. The event will happen this week on February 3. The company has not revealed the name of the smartphone but shared an official invite teasing a smartphone’s back, which to us looks like the recently launched Blade A2 Plus in China. The company is also teasing the launch on Twitter and posted a video today.


The 14 second video on ZTE India’s twitter account teases the full back design of the smartphone and fast charging. Last week, Sachin Batra, CMO, ZTE India also posted a teaser showcasing the half of the device revealing the camera module, flash and, fingerprint sensor.

THe ZTE Blade A2 Plus was first introduced in China last year. The ZTE Blade A2 Plus Chinese version sports a 5.5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) full HD 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6750T processor and coupled with Mali T860 GPU. The phone comes with 3GB/4GB RAM variant paired with 32GB inbuilt storage.  It has microSD support which is expandable up to 128GB. The key highlight of the smartphone is the massive 5000mAh battery. It comes with fast charging capability.

ZTE Blade A2 Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Mifavor 3.5 skin atop of it. It is a hybrid dual-SIM smartphone that supports nano-SIM. The phone features 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and phase detection auto focus. The front sports an 8-megapixel sensor with LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is embedded on the rear panel of the phone.  ZTE Blade A2 Plus measures 155×76.2×9.8mm and weighs 189 grams. The phone has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS in its connectivity options.

The ZTE Blade A2 Plus is available in two colour variants in China- Gold and Silver. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 1499 (around Rs. 15,000) while the 4GB RAM version is tagged with a price of CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs. 17,000).
