ZTE today launched a new smartphone in China expanding its Blade lineup of smartphones, the ZTE Blade A3. The company is marketing the device as a selfie smartphone. The Blade A3 comes with a dual camera setup on the front for selfies. The device is currently available for pre-orders in China on JD.com and ZTE’s own web store. It is priced at CNY 799 (Approximately Rs. 7,800), the device will go on sale starting November 6. The Blade A3 smartphone will be available in two colour options – Glacier Blue and Obsidian Black.
As for the specifications, the ZTE Blade A3 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels along with 2.5D curved glass protection on top. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6737T quad-core processor clocked at 1.45GHz. It comes with 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. All of this is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and it runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with ZTE’s own MiFavor 4.2 skin on top.
As for the camera, the Blade A3 features a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it sports a dual camera setup featuring one 5-megapixel camera sensor along with a 2-megapixel sensor. This dual camera setup on the front allows the users to take selfies with a bokeh effect. As for the connectivity options, the smartphone supports dual SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, USB OTG, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
