The Chinese handset maker ZTE has launched a new smartphone the ZTE Blade A2S in China today. Priced at CNY 700 (roughly Rs. 6,800) the ZTE handset is available for purchase on Chinese e-retail site JD.com.
In terms of specifications, it features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 423ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC with Mali-T860 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The phone has an internal storage of 32GB with a further expandable option via microSD card. It comes with dual-SIM (Nano + dual standby) support, the Android OS on the new ZTE smartphone however has not been specified.
Talking about the design language, the ZTE Blade A2S sports an all-metal body, a fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear panel. The volume keys are located on the left edge of the device, while the power key sits on the right edge.
As for as the optics are concerned camera, the ZTE Blade A2S sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The primary camera offers PDF, HDR and panorama mode. Up front, it gets a 5-megapixel front sensor with f/2.2 aperture. As for the powerhouse it packs a 2540mAh battery capacity and comes with Micro-USB port for charging. Connectivity options on the new ZTE Blade A2S include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The smartphone measures a dimension at 146.1×72.6×7.5mm and weighs around 138 grams. The ZTE Blade A2S is available in a single colour option- Deep Grey. Talking about the availability, ZTE has not shared any information on whether the handset will arrive in markets other than China as yet.
