A new Xiaomi Redmi smartphone has leaked and it seems as if they are also jumping on the bezel-less display trend. Brands like Oppo and Vivo already have launched smartphones with display ratios of 18:9. Today, a report has surfaced stating that next month OnePlus will also be launching a bezel-less display smartphone. The images that were leaked today also showcase a dual camera setup on the back similar to the Xiaomi Mi 6. This was first reported on by GizChina.
The report suggests that the device will launch under the Redmi Note 5 range and will run on a high-end MediaTek processor rather than a Snapdragon processor. The report also states that the device will be all alloy and will come with a 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel camera setup on the back. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery which is 100mAh smaller than the Redmi Note 4.
It is expected that this device will be an entry range device and will cost around 999 Yuan (around Rs. 10,000). It will come with 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage. The 4GB RAM/32GB internal storage variant is expected to be priced at 1,299 (approximately Rs. 13,000) Yuan and finally, the 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage will be priced at 1,599 Yuan (approximately Rs. 16,000).
The company hasn’t yet said anything regarding this device, and anything can change from now till the device is launched, so we recommend that you take this report with a pinch of salt.
