It’s the software where things get interesting. Although Xiaomi hasn’t talked about software on the Redmi Note 5A as of writing this, it could be the company’s MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat. The Redmi 4A, however, deals with Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 software. Even though we haven’t used the Redmi Note 5A ourselves, we can conclude that all Xiaomi phones usually come with a limited bloatware and without an app drawer. So, we are expecting it to be the case on the Redmi Note 5A as well. On the Redmi 4A, overall UI theme appears clean, and all apps can be found on the homescreen since it lacks an app drawer like most Chinese UIs.
