Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to release Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A in India, reports Financial Express. Last month, Xiaomi announced Redmi Note 5A in China with three storage options: 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. All the Redmi Note 5A variants are now available for sale in China on Mi.com and JD.com.
As for specifications, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1,280 x 720) screen featuring 267 ppi pixel density and 2.5D curved glass layered on top. The device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 eight-core SoC bundled with Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. Design-wise, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A offers a full metal unibody, measuring 7.7mm in thickness and weighing 153g. The antenna lines run across the rear of the device while the fingerprint scanner sits right on the back.
As far as photography is concerned, the device houses a 13MP rear shooter with a phase detection autofocus (PDAF), f/2.2 aperture, and LED flash. The camera also supports HDR, panorama, continuous shooting, face recognition, and real-time filter. Up front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A packs a 3,080mAh battery under the hood. It supports 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. It also comes with IR blaster so you can control your AC and TV. Other standard sets of supported sensors include gyro, accelerometer, compass, ambient light sensor, and more. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A comes in three colour options: Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Platinum Silver Gray.
