Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 new variant was officially launched in China last week. The price and specs which were not available initially is now shared by the company on its official site. According to the price listed on the site, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X costs CNY 999 which is around Rs. 9,700 for the base variant. The Hatsune Miku Limited Edition that was introduced during the launch is priced at CNY 1,99 (around Rs. 12,600). The limited edition of the Redmi Note 4X comes crated with Hatsune Miku-branded back case and Mi power bank for free.
The Redmi Note 4X follows the similar design language of its predecessor Redmi Note 4. However, the new variant is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 system-on-chip (SoC) instead of the MediaTek Helio X20 processor. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 skin atop of it. The Redmi Note 4X features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. It has a pixel density of 403ppi.
In terms of imaging, the Redmi Note 4X sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection auto focus, aperture f/2.0 and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor and comes with 85-degree wide angle lens. This is a hybrid dual SIM smartphone that supports nano-SIM. The Redmi Note 4X is beefed up with a 4,100mAh battery. It packs 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). Xiaomi has claimed that a 4GB RAM+64GB storage version will be also be available soon.
The smartphone in its connectivity suite include- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, Micro-USB, 4G and Infrared. Sensor options include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope, Electronic compass and Proximity sensor.
The phone will be available for purchase in its home country from Valentine’s Day, February 14. The Redmi Note 4X comes in five colour variants- Hatsune Miku Green (limited edition), Cherry Powder, Matte Black, Champagne Gold, and Platinum Silver Grey.
