Xiaomi India has launched Redmi Note 4 on Thursday, the company’s first phone launch for India in 2017. The phone comes in three variants- the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage is priced at Rs 9,999. The 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage is tagged with a price of Rs 10, 999. The 4GB RAM version with 64 GB storage alongside has been priced at Rs 12,999. The phone will be exclusively available on Flipkart along with Mi.com. The Redmi Note 4 will be up for sale staring 12pm on Monday. There is no pre-registration required for the phone.

The phone will come in Gold, Grey and Silver colour options with a new Matte Black colour variant introduced by Xiaomi to be available soon.

In terms of specifications the Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display (1920×1080 resolution). It features a metal unibody design with 2.5D screen glass. The fingerprint sensor is embedded on the rear panel of the device. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor instead of MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core system which is banned in the country. The Snapdragon chipset uses 14nm FinFET technology and the company has claimed that processor is more power efficient and will deliver enhanced battery performance. The processor is coupled with Adreno GPU 506. Redmi Note 4 has a battery back-up of 4,100mAh.

The phone has a 13-megapixel primary camera that uses Sony CMOS sensor with 1.12µ pixel size. It has an LED flash with aperture f/2.0 and supports phase detection auto focus. The front features a 5-megapixel camera.

The device runs on Android Marshmallow with MIUI 8.0 skin layered on top of it. Xiaomi claims that the company is testing Android Nougat 7.0 with the device, and the beta version will be available alongside the sale of the new smartphone.

Redmi Note 4 house a hybrid dual-SIM card configuration with microSD slot included in it. The phone is 4G VoLTE enabled and comprises Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.1, GPS, Micro-USB and Infrared in the connectivity option. Sensor options include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, and proximity sensor. The phone measures 151x76x8.35mm and weighs 175 grams.
