Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 4A in India today at a launch even in New Delhi and it will be exclusive to Amazon India for the time being. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is supposed to be a cheaper version of the Xiaomi Redmi 4, and also touted to be the most affordable phone in the Xiaomi portfolio.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor (1.4GHz quad core) and 2GB of RAM. It has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720. It comes with just 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 128GB thanks to the microSD card slot on the device. There is a 13 megapixel camera on the back and a 5 megapixel shooter on the front for all selfie duties. While all this seems fairly standard, the lack of a fingerprint sensor is a little bit of a let-down. The phone also supports 4G and VoLTE along with having a dual-sim slot. The phone is powered by a 3120mAh battery, which should be more than enough to get through the day. The phone is available in three colours, Dark Grey, Gold and a new colour for the company, Rose Gold. All this can be had for a price of Rs. 5999, exclusively on Amazon India starting 23rd March 2017, however, the Rose Gold variant will be available only 6th April onwards.
The phone can also be ordered through Xiaomi’s own website for India, with an added advantage. The company has stated that even if the phone is out of stock, buyers can place their pre-orders, which will be shipped once the device is in stock.
