Xiaomi’s affordable Redmi line has been popular among Indian consumers, and in spite of that, people often seem troubled when they want to buy one of those phones. Although Xiaomi announced a retail store in Bangalore a couple of months ago and is striving to build a strong foothold in the offline market in coming months, they have a long way to go. Similar is the case when it comes to buying Xiaomi Redmi phones online. Most of the times, they are either unavailable or set to go on pre-order/sale sometime later. We know it is frustrating, but Xiaomi has the habit of putting up limited units on sale. For now, there is good news: Three Xiaomi handsets–the Redmi 4, 4A, and Note 4–are available to pre-order on Mi.com. We would like to recommend you to hurry up before they go out of stock, once again.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 (Review) is available in three variants: 2GB RAM+16GB storage (Rs 6,999) and 3GB RAM+32GB storage (Rs 8,999). Available in Gold and Black colours, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 sports a 5-inch 720P display. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor and Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. The phone offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, in addition, a 4,100mAh battery. It houses a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front-facing camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A (Review) is the younger sibling to Redmi 4 line. It flaunts a 5-inch screen featuring 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Powering the phone is a quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC and 2GB of RAM. The device offers a limited 16GB of storage (expandable up to 128GB). The Redmi 4A houses a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The VoLTE supported phone packs a 3020mAh battery. The 4A lacks a fingerprint scanner, which is considerable given the price point.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (Review) comes in three storage options: 2GB RAM+16GB ROM (Rs 9,999), 3GB RAM+32GB ROM (Rs 10,999), and 4GB RAM+64GB ROM (Rs 12,999). It flaunts a bigger 5.5-inch 1080p along with 2.5D curved glass layered on top of it. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC. It features a similar 13MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera. The device features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which sits right below the camera module. It is based on a 4,100mAh battery.
