Xiaomi already confirmed earlier that successor to last year’s borderless Mi Mix flagship, Mi Mix 2 is arriving on September 11 (tomorrow). According to reports, Xiaomi may also be on the verge to announce Mi Note 2 successor at the launch. You read that right. Xiaomi founder and chief Lei Jun is teasing the arrival of Xiaomi Mi Note 3, which is said to be launched in tandem with Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 at a press event in China tomorrow September 11.
A teaser video has also been released, showing off both Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 smartphones. Although Jun confirmed Xiaomi Mi Note 3 on Chinese social networking website Weibo, he did not say it is set to launch tomorrow. Jun has just been uploading posters on his Weibo profile. So, we simply have to wait and watch.
In other news, Xiaomi also announced a Canadian-Chinese actor Wu Yifan as Mi Note 3 brand ambassador. Lei Jun, on the other hand, acted in the teaser video by holding the phone and boasting its face recognition capabilities. As teaser suggests, Xiaomi Mi Note 3 doesn’t flaunt a rea-mounted fingerprint scanner like its predecessor. In addition, it offers dual cameras like Xiaomi Mi A1.
