While the press invites are already out for Xiaomi’s next week launch event, where the Chinese company is expected to launch its new flagship Mi 6, a new report has come out claiming the launch of Mi Max 2 to happen alongside.
Xiaomi is all set with April 19 launch event date for China, and with the new rumour around the block, it is now widely expected that Mi Max 2 would also launch alongside Mi 6 & Mi 6 Plus, which was earlier expected to launch in May.
As for rumoured specifications, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is likely to sport same 6.44-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display as the predecessor Mi Max. The battery can be 5000mAh, which is up by 150mAh from 4850mAh seen on Mi Max. The two cameras are said to be of 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor cameras.
About the rumoured Mi 6, previous leaks have suggested that Xiaomi is getting two variants of flagship this time. The expected Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus specifications are already out in various reports. Both are tipped to run Google’s latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with company’s all new version of MIUI.
The Mi 6 according to leaks will feature a 5.1-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) display. It is tipped to offer 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording support and an 8-megapixel front camera. Meanwhile, the Mi 6 Plus flagship has been tipped to sport a Quad HD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges and dual rear camera setup.
Both the flagships are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and come with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 technology for fast charging support.
