Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is all set to go on sale starting today. The device costs Rs 16,999 and comes in only black colour option. Xiaomi Mi Max 2, much like its predecessor, is all about big battery and display. The biggest talking point, it packs a 5,300mAh under the hood, something Xiaomi claims to deliver at least two days backup. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was first unveiled in China a couple of months ago. Back then, Xiaomi announced two storage variants: 64GB and 128GB. In India, however, it comes with only 64GB of storage.
Xiaomi is hosting Mi third anniversary special 2-day sale on Mi.com and Mi Home offline outlets in India. The sale starts today (July 20) at 10 AM and ends tomorrow (July 21). The actual sale begins starting July 27 via offline and online channels including Mi.com and Mi Home. Xiaomi has partnered online retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Cliq, and Paytm Mall. The list of offline retail partners, on the other hand, consists of Poorvika, Sangeetha, BigC, Lot Mobiles, Ezone, Hotspot, Vijay Sales and Mi Preferred Partners across India.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 flaunts a unibody metal design and matte finish on the rear, which was prone to smudges during our initial experience. It offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, and stereo speakers. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a 6.44-inch 1080p screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It houses a 12MP rear shooter and 5MP front shooter. Inside are Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC and 4GB of RAM. The dual-SIM phablet runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 on top.
