Xiaomi last week announced its ‘flagship dual camera’ smartphone Mi A1 in India for Rs 14,999. The phone has already geared up to go on sale in India starting September 12 via Xiaomi’s both online and offline channels like Mi.com and Mi Home Stores, in addition to third-party online and offline retailers across the country. But before that happens, we’ve come across a new piece of information for those waiting for the device to hit offline stores. As spotted by TechUpdate3, Xiaomi Mi A1 is available to pre-order at select offline stores for Rs 15,499. Meaning, those looking to purchase it offline will have to shell out Rs 500 more.
Xiaomi Mi A1 has been co-developed by Xiaomi and Google under Android One. So, it runs stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box instead of Xiaomi’s custom MIUI. Specs-wise, it sports a 5.5-inch Full HD screen. Powering it is an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. It carries 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD. The dual-SIM phone boasts of the full metal unibody, measuring 7.3mm in thickness and weighing 165g.
As for cameras, Xiaomi Mi A1 houses a primary dual camera module with a 12MP wide-angle sensor and a 12MP telephoto sensor, along with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF. Up front, there’s a 5MP secondary sensor for selfies and video calls. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2 for connectivity. Xiaomi Mi A1 comes in in multiple black, gold, and rose gold colour options. Launch offers include 200GB of additional 4G data for Airtel customers who buy Mi A1.
