Xiaomi might launch its flagship smartphone for 2018, the Xiaomi Mi 7 next year in February says a report by GizmoChina. The Mi 6 smartphone was announced earlier this year in April. As per the report, the company might announce the device at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) which will be held in Barcelona. If the report is to be believed then the company might launch the Mi 7 in a similar way to the Mi 5.
Recently, there was also a report stating the Xiaomi and Qualcomm are working together to optimize the alleged Snapdragon 845 chipset for the Xiaomi Mi 7. It is expected that both the companies will begin the final testing of the devices in November.
As per reports and leaks, we know that the alleged Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with a 6-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display that will be manufactured by Samsung. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset which is based on the 10-nm technology. It is also being said that the Mi 7 will support wireless charging, and to make this possible the device will sport a ceramic back panel.
It is being said that the Mi 7 will come in two storage variants – 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM. It will most probably sport a similar dual camera setup on the back as seen in the Mi 6. The company is expected to price the 6GB RAM variant at 2,999 Yuan (approximately Rs. 30,000) and the 8GB RAM variant at 3,499 Yuan (approximately Rs. 35,000).
