Xiaomi launched its new flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 6 in China last month. While the smartphone is yet to make its way to countries outside China, a new variant of the flagship model, the Xiaomi Mi 6c has just surfaced online.
The device with the codename ‘Jason’ has appeared on the popular mobile benchmark, GFXBench. According to the leaked specifications, the Mi 6c or ‘Jason’ will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The listing suggest that the phone will sport a 5.1-inch full HD (1080×1920 resolution) and it will run MIUI based Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Further, the Mi 6c will sport a 12-megapixel camera on the back with 4K video recording support. On the front, it will carry a 3-megapixel sensor. The device as mentioned will have a Snapdragon 660 SoC (system-on-chip) which is an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with Adreno 512 GPU. Further the phone will ship 6GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. According to the listing, the phone will ship with single-SIM support and include Wi-Fi, NFC, accelerometer, gyroscope, light sensor, proximity sensor under its connectivity suite.
If the listing is to be believed then the Xiaomi Mi 6c smartphone will rather be a trimmed down version of the flagship Xiaomi Mi 6. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 835 processor fabricated with 10nm FinFET technology. The flagship features a dual-rear camera setup with 12-megapixel wide angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens that offers 2x lossless zoom. At front, it has an 8-megapixel front facing camera.
