Some of the leaks about Xiaomi’s anticipated 2017 flagship smartphone have been already doing rounds over the internet. The recent leak is from Weibo, where a tipster posted alleged specifications of the rumoured Xiaomi Mi 6.
According to the post, the Mi 6 will feature a flat display instead of rumoured dual-edge curved display and it will come in two variants. The display size is said to be slightly bigger 5.2-inch instead of the 5.15-inch display seen on Mi 5.
One of the version of Xiaomi Mi 6 is tipped to pack a full-HD (1080p) display panel along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Another alleged high-end variant of Mi 6 is expected to feature a 2K (1440 x 2560 pixels) display with 4GB of RAM, but with the 64GB of internal storage. The cameras on Mi 6 are claimed to be same as the Mi Note 2. The primary 12-megapixel will feature Sony IMX386 sensor and the 8-megapixel selfie camera with Sony IMX268 sensor.
The leaks about Mi 6 have been very different from one another, so we would not suggest you believe any of those. One of the leak had suggested the handset to sport a 5.2-inch display with 4K resolution alongside a 23-megapixel and 7-megapixel camera combination. However, another leaked said Mi 6 will sport a 16-megapixel dual camera set-up along with 4-megapixel front camera.
Previous leak via the Chinese microblogging website had suggested Xiaomi to launch the Mi 6 on Valentine’s day in China, but that never happened. The same leak had tipped the handset to sport Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC.
