Xiaomi will unveil its 2017 flagship next week and the rumour mill is buzzing spontaneously with new details almost everyday. Now a live of the Xiaomi Mi 6 has surfaced on the Internet and it gives us a good look at the upcoming smartphone’s design.
The photo posted by the Chinese social media site Weibo reveals the smartphone sporting a USB-Type C and two speaker grills at the bottom. If we take a closer look at the image we could see the purported Xiaomi Mi 6 featuring ceramic body and curved edges, a design similar to Mi Mix smartphone. The power button and the volume rockers are located at the right side of the device. Surprisingly, the standard 3.5mm audio jack is missing on the alleged Mi 6 which means that the smartphone will use the USB-Type C port for both audio and charging.
Xiaomi had recently rolled out a teaser confirming its latest flagship Xiaomi Mi 6 to launch on April 19 in Beijing. Xiaomi is expcected to launch a Plus variant alonsgide the Mi Mi 6 smartphone next week. Previous leak reports have suggeste that the upcoming flagship will be integrated with Qualcomm’s next generation chispet Snapdragon 835. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will reportedly come in two storage variants- 4GB of RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB + 128GB storage and will be priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 20,500), and CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 24,300), respectively. Meanwhile, the Plus variant, Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is said to come in 6GB of RAM + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 256GB variants, priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 25,000), CNY 3,099 (roughly Rs. 28,990) and CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 34,600), respectively.
Further, the Mi 6 is tipped to feature a dual-rear camera setup (via AndroidHeadlines). Rumours suggest that the smartphone will feature 5.1-inch full HD (1920xx1080 resolution) display and run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. The Mi 6 Plus on the other hand has been tipped to come with a 5.7-inch Quad HD 2K OLED display. Both the flagship are expected to come with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 technology for fast charging support.
