Xiaomi the Chinese smartphone manufacturer might have revealed when it will start the rollout of MIUI 9, and when will the devices receive the update. A new report has come out from a Chinese website MyDrivers.com which claims that the company has said that the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Redmi Note 4X will be the first devices to receive the update on August 11. The report has also mentioned that Xiaomi will be also updating 11 more devices on August 25. Next month the company will update more of its devices to MIUI 9, these would include the Redmi 2A and the Redmi 1/1S. If this report is true we currently do not know if the update is only for China or will the company roll out the update globally.
If the given dates are true are only valid for China we can expect that the company will soon declare the global rollout dates also. We know that the MIUI 9 comes with a number of improvements and upgrades like the Smart Assistant and the smart app launcher. The new update also will bring CPU acceleration along with improved haptic feedback.
This news has come out just a few weeks after Xiaomi announced its new smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5X. The Mi 5X features a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is backed by a 3,090mAh battery.
