Xiaomi yesterday had confirmed that it will be launching the Xiaomi Mi 5X along with MIUI 9 on July 26. Today, a couple of press renders of the Mi 5X showed up on Xiaomi’s official website. These renders show us all the colour variants of the smartphone. From the images that were put up, we now know that this new phone will be coming in rose gold, gold and black colour options. It can also be seen in the images that the phone will feature a dual camera setup on the rear along with a dual tone flash, and it will feature extremely thin bezels on the sides.
On the bottom, the Mi 5X features a 3.5mm audio jack, speaker grille and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It seems like Xiaomi is going with an all metal build along with chamfered edges. On the back, Xiaomi has placed the fingerprint sensor along with the dual camera setup, and the antenna lines have been kept on the top and bottom edges of the phone.
Earlier this week, a poster had leaked where most of the specifications of the phone were revealed. As per the leak, the Mi 5X will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC and will come with 4GB of RAM. The leaked price of the phone was 1,999 Yan (roughly $296). Currently, the phone is available for registrations on Xiaomi’s China website, and around 2,17,739 people have already registered for the smartphone.
