Xiaomi Mi 5X is all set to launch in India next week. Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain confirmed on Monday that the company’s flagship dual camera smartphone is arriving in India on September 5. Interestingly, Xiaomi has scheduled a global launch event, as part of which its recently unveiled Mi 5X is on the verge to be announced simultaneously in several other markets outside China.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X first announced in China last month alongside its latest MIUI 9 custom ROM based on Android Nougat operating system.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X sports a 5.5-inch LTPS full HD (1,920×1,080) display featuring 401 ppi pixel density. The dual-camera smartphone houses a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens alongside dual-tone LED flash. Up front is a 5MP secondary shooter for selfies and video calls.

Inside is an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC ticking at 2GHz and coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB expandable storage (up to 128GB). It flaunts a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. On the software front, the all new Xiaomi Mi 5X runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The set of supported sensors including infrared (IR) blaster, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light.

The Xiaomi Mi 5X consists of a 3,080mAh battery. Design-wise, it measures 7.33mm in terms of its thickness and weighs 165g. Available in Black, Gold, and Pink colour options, it costs 1,499 in China, which roughly converts to Rs. 14,200.
