Xiaomi India today announced Mi Exchange, a new initiative to let users trade in their old Xiaomi phones at Mi Home. Xiaomi partnered Cashify.in, an online portal that let individual sell their old devices. As part of the deal, users can take their old phones to nearest Mi Home. Cashify will propose them a suitable price, depending on the condition of a phone as well as the market. Customers can avail the discount while buying a Xiaomi phone.

Xiaomi India announced via its official forum post. In the post, Xiaomi said Mi Exchange program is run by cashify at all Mi Homes. Xiaomi currently has 12 Mi Home stores located in different cities like New Delhi, Chennai, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram and Hyderabad.

List of eligible Xiaomi phones under Mi Exchange

Xiaomi said a customer can only exchange any one device listed on Cashify with an available Xiaomi phone at Mi home. Here’s the list of eligible Xiaomi phones under Mi Exchange:

So, Cashify covers the entire Xiaomi lineup (both current and previous).

“The customer can also get a pickup service of the old phone if required that shall be supported by Cashify. In this case, he pays the complete amount for the new phone at the store during the time of purchase and schedules a pickup call. Cashify shall be sending an executive to collect the device as per the decided time and pays the customer. In this process, all issues are addressed by Cashify. Xiaomi has no involvement in the process,” said Xiaomi.

Xiaomi has made it clear post exchange, customers cannot do any further changes, and no negotiation or bargaining will be entertained by the store staff.
