Xiaomi lately has been giving the Indian market a lot of attention by launching a lot of new devices in the country for different audiences. Apparently, this has paid off big for the company. The research firm IDC recently said that Xiaomi, along with Samsung, has become the number one smartphone company in the country for the third quarter of 2017. It seems the company wants to latch on to the top spot that it has just reached, and to do so it might launch a new product, presumably a smartphone, by the end of the year.
Xiaomi VP and India MD, Manu Kumar Jain recently posted a tweet which is embedded below, during one of his rural trips. In the tweet, he says that he has gained a lot of new insight in lives of the rural India population, and the company will soon launch a new product which will help change the rural lives.
Met this incredible couple during my field trip across villages. I was humbled by their warmth, and hospitality they offered me
