    • To get this you must be a beta user
    • The app has shrunk 6MB in size
    • It is expected to go public soon

WhatsApp the social media app owned by Facebook recently released a beta version of the app bringing a new feature which would allow the app to notify all your contacts to know if you changed your number. This would help the user have a much easier transition to the new number. This feature would work similarly to how the app notifies about mobile phone number changes in groups. The app also lets you select specific users whom you want to intimate about the change and lets you leave the rest out.

This feature automatically notifies the chosen contacts automatically when you decide to change your mobile number. However, to get this feature now you will have to be a beta tester of the app. It seems as if the company will be soon rolling out the new version of the app for both iOS and Android.

Additionally, the WhatsApp Beta version 2.17.375 has shrunk 6MB in size from the original. The company also has modified 473 files to fix minor problems. WhatsApp recently has been bringing many changes to the app like video calling, end to end encryption and much more showing that they listen to all the customer feedback.
