Last week, the technology space was nothing less than a roller coaster ride. And why would it not be? After all, India got two new flagship smartphones from Samsung – the Galaxy S9 and S9+. At the same time, Jio started greeting Prime members with 10GB of free 4G data. But the real shocker came from BlackBerry that got itself in the news for a reason that none of you would have imagined. In short, it was an action-packed week worth remembering. Time limit to delete messages on WhatsApp may extend soon


WhatsApp may soon extend time limit to allow users delete messages on the platform, a new report claims. Last year, WhatsApp brought a feature that gave users the ability to delete sent messages at both, sender’s and receivers’ end. This way, users can easily delete messages that were sent accidentally or for any other reason, no matter what. However, users can currently do so only within 420 seconds (7 minutes) of the message being sent. But now reports claim this limit could be extended to 4096 seconds (68 minutes and 16 seconds) in the coming weeks. Continue reading…

Samsung launched their 2018’s flagship Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones in India starting at Rs 57,900. Main highlight of this year’s Samsung flagships has to be the camera, which appears to have improved exponentially, and since last year’s Samsung Galaxy S8 had a pretty good camera as well, there was nothing much to be improve upon either. Jio surprised users by offering 10GB of 4G data at absolutely no cost at all. Techook learnt the additional data was or perhaps is being provided to users in order to celebrate the fact that Jio TV app won in the Best Mobile Video Content category at GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards held during MWC 2018. Vivo APEX with in-screen fingerprint reader became official


Initially a concept phone, Vivo APEX with in-screen fingerprint reader is now official. Vivo also confirmed their plans to start mass-producing the handset sometime mid-2018. Although many of the internals still remain secret, Vivo APEX is powered by Qualcomm’s latest top of the line Snapdragon 845 chip. BlackBerry drags Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram to court


Once a pioneer in hardware and instant messaging verticals, BlackBerry once again made the headlines. And not for any upcoming phone launch in India or elsewhere, which may be around. BlackBerry has filed a lawsuit against social media giant Facebook as well as WhatsApp and Instagram over patent infringement.
