Vodafone announced ‘Red Together’ plans today to let postpaid users save up to 20% on the total rental of the group and avail up to 20GB additional data. Red Together plans primarily benefit postpaid groups, which is similar to the likes of Airtel Postpaid Family Plans. Vodafone Red Together makes it possible to bring multiple users under a single plan and benefits.
Vodafone Red Together Benefits
Similar to Airtel Postpaid Family Plans, Red Together allows friends and devices to share the benefits. However, the basic plan starts at Rs 399. Some of the benefits include free national roaming, data rollover up to 200GB, Netflix subscription up to 12 months and Red Shield handset protection feature. Vodafone Red postpaid plans are primarily divided into different categories like RED Traveler, RED International and RED Signature.
Vodafone India’s Avneesh Khosla, who is serving as Associate Director of Consumer Business, calls Red Together an “extremely reward proposition.” According to him, it ensures saving on postpaid plans. He further said, “Since Red Together is exclusive to recently announced Vodafone Red postpaid plans, it makes Vodafone Red’s position stronger in the country.”
Meanwhile, Vodafone announced a new plan to take on Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio. Under the new plan, users will benefit from 1GB of 4G data along with unlimited calls (both local and STD) for Rs 199. It apparently competes with Reliance Jio Rs. 149 plan that offers similar benefits.
Earlier, Vodafone came up with an integrated voice and data pack dubbed ‘Vodafone Chhota Champion’ for prepaid users. The pack is priced at Rs 38. Subscribing to this pack will benefit users with 100 local and STD calling minutes in addition to 100MB of 3G/4G data. It’s a monthly pack that has a validity of 28 days.
