Itel, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer in partnership with Vodafone India has launched a new smartphone, the Itel A20. The device is priced at Rs 3,690, however, will effectively cost Rs 1,590. Subscribers who get this device will need to stay on the same network and handset for three years to get the cashback.

Users will need to recharge their number with a minimum of Rs 150 per month for a total of 36 months. The recharges can be done individually or cumulatively as a one-time recharge. After 18 months, the users will receive a cashback of Rs 900 and after another 18 months, they would get the rest of Rs 1,200 as cashback. The cashback amount will be credited to the customers M-Pesa wallet, which they can then use to recharge, pay bills, transfer money or withdraw cash. This offer is valid until March 31, 2018, for all Vodafone India subscribers.

said Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director – Consumer Business, Vodafone India, in a press statement.

As for the specifications, the Itel A20 sports a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and is backed by a 1,700mAh battery.

As for the camera, it features a 2-megapixel primary camera with an LED flash. On the front, it features a 0.3-megapixel VGA selfie camera. It will be made available in Champagne Gold, Dark Blue, and Silver colour options.

If you ask us, we would advice the users to shell out another Rs 1,309 and buy the Redmi 5A which is a far better phone as compared to the Itel A20, rather than getting stuck with a specific plan and network along with an inferior device.
