Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has announced a new mid-range phone called Vivo Y75, at its home turf. Interestingly, the handset carries nearly identical specifications as that of Vivo V7, except for a few things here and there. But it goes to show Vivo’s focus remains on price-conscious markets such as China and India.
However, we are yet to learn if Vivo is planning to announce Y75 in the Indian market. But given the fact that Vivo’s lineup of Y-series smartphones is pretty much functional here, we are expecting Vivo Y75 to arrive in the Indian market soon.
Specs wise, Vivo Y75 has a 5.7-inch HD+ display featuring 1440 x 720 resolution and thin bezels. Internally, there’s 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable memory and an octa-core. We have no details on the exact chipset employed in this handset at the time of writing this.
As for optics, it houses a 13MP rear camera with LED flash as well as a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. So this handset may be an ideal choice for selfie lovers. Vivo V7, on the other hand, is all about a 16MP main camera and a whopping 24MP front shooter.
The dual-SIM Vivo Y75 runs FunTouch OS 3.2 on top of Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The standard set of connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB and 3.5mm audio jack. Last but not least, Vivo Y75 packs a 3,000mAh battery under the hood.
Vivo Y75 is already up for sale in China at the price of 1598 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,500). It ships with Gold, Rose Gold and Matte Black colour options.
