Vivo today announced two new handsets in their homeland, as expected. The smartphones in question are Vivo X9s and X9s Plus. Both the phones feature dual selfie camera up front and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Vivo X9s and X9s Plus are priced at 2,698 yuan and 2,998 yuan, which translates roughly at Rs 25,670 and Rs 28,534 respectively. Both the phones are available in multiple colour variants: Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black.
Starting off with the Vivo X9s, the phone sports a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display featuring 401 PPI pixel density. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 652 octa-core SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU for graphics. The dual-SIM phone comes with 64GB of internal memory. The Vivo X9s houses a 13-megapixel rear camera and dual selfie camera (20MP + 5MP). It measures 6.99mm in thickness and weighs 155g. The phone packs in a 4,015mAh battery in addition to 4G VoLTE.
The Vivo X9s Plus, on the other hand, flaunts a slightly bigger 5.8-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen. Internally, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 653 octa-core SoC ticking at 1.9GHz alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. While the camera and battery specifications remain same as the X9s, the phone measures 7.25mm in thickness and weigh 183g. Both the phones feature a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, which doubles up as the home button.
We got in touch with Vivo and learned that the company has no plans to launch either of these devices in Indian market anytime soon.
