Vivo V7+ selfie-focused smartphone is all set to launch in India soon. According to reports, Vivo has started rolling out press invites to Vivo V7+ launch event scheduled for September 7 in Mumbai. Although the company hasn’t officially revealed details with regards to what it’s going to be all about, the invite suggests that it’ll be a selfie-focused smartphone. “Redefine the selfie experience with the revolutionary selfie camera,” the press invite reads.
Apparently, Vivo hasn’t started teasing the arrival of its upcoming Vivo V7+ smartphone in India as of reporting this. So, there’s a lack of clarity as to what else to expect from this smartphone. The company is expected to start releasing teasers on its social media channels anytime soon. Meanwhile, the press invite also reveals a few crucial elements with regards to its design.
As per the invite, the Vivo V7+ will sport narrow bezels that are barely visible. Up front, the phone looks much like the Samsung Galaxy S8 (Review). So, its screen is expected to sport 18:9 aspect ratio, making room for some extra real estate. There no home button or fingerprint scanner on the front. So, the phone is expected with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and on-screen home button.
Currently, Vivo has four V-series smartphones in India including Vivo V5 (Review) and Vivo V5 Plus (Review), and all four of them have one thing in common: the selfie camera experience. So, it isn’t really surprising to see Vivo is trying to lure selfie enthusiasts with its upcoming offering. The Vivo V7+ price in India is unknown at this point, though.
Last month, Vivo announced two new handsets in China: the X9s and X9s Plus. Both the phones feature dual selfie camera on the front and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Vivo X9s and X9s Plus are priced at 2,698 yuan and 2,998 yuan, which translates roughly at Rs 25,670 and Rs 28,534 respectively. Both the phones are available in multiple colour variants: Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black.
