Vivo is all set to launch its two new smartphones V5 and V5 Plus in India. The leading Chinese global smartphone brand has scheduled to launch these smartphones on November 15th in Mumbai. The invites being sent already to the media companies with the tagline ‘selfie-evolution’.
According to leak reports, the new V5 will sport a 20-megapixel moonlight selfie-camera. The front camera will have soft light LED flash support. The designs of both V5 and V5 Plus is said to have a metal unibody and 2.5D curved glass on top.
V5, the fifth device in its V-series is expected to have 4GB RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage. It will also have a microSD card slot for space expansion up to 128GB.The smartphone will come with an octa-core processor running Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz paired with Adreno 510 GPU. The device will feature a 5.5 inch HD display (1280×720 pixels) protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
In its imaging segment, the smartphone is said to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 20-megapixel selfie camera with Moonlight flash similar to the retina flash on iPhone 6 & 7. With a battery back-up of 3000 mAh, the phone will support 4G LTE and VoLTE connectivity and Wifi, Bluetooth. The smartphone will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with Vivo’s Fun OS 2.6 skin on top of it.
The V5 Plus, however, might come with a slightly bigger battery and higher resolution display.
According to BGR report, the V5 is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs.20,000 while the V5 Plus could be priced at Rs.25000 or more.
