Vivo has officially launched the V5 Plus smartphone in India for a price of Rs 27,980. The highlight of the smartphone is its selfie which sports a dual lens set-up. Vivo V5 Plus features a 20-megapixel selfie camera paired with an 8-megapixel sensor and the aperture is f/2.0. The front camera brings a bokeh style mode, that enables the user to capture portrait pictures. The rear camera comes with a 16-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto-focus and LED flash.
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1920×1090 pixel resolution. It comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device is powered by 2.GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. Vivo V5 Plus is packed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
The phone runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based Android Marshmallow. It has a battery backup of 3160mAh. The phone measures 152.6 x 74 x 7.3 mm and weighs 158 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.
Vivo V5 Plus will be available for pre-order from Tuesday and go up for sale both online and offline from February 1st.
Considering the processor of the device, Vivo V5 Plus is tagged at a bit higher price as smartphones such as the OnePlus 3 which comes under the similar price segment offers a better Snapdragon 820 processor.
