Indian handset maker Videocon announced a new smartphone on Monday dubbed Videocon Metal Pro 2 4G in India. The device in question comes at the price of Rs 6,999 goes on sale across major retailers in India by the end of August. It’s listed on a company site for MRP of Rs 7,500. The Videocon Metal Pro 2 4G introduced in two colour options: Gray and Gold. Although Videocon also announced a 100-day replacement policy, no exact details are known with regards to its terms and conditions.
As the name suggests, Videocon Metal Pro 2 4G is a 4G-enabled smartphone that boasts of a metal unibody design, measuring 8.4mm in thickness. It’s an entry-level smartphone with two SIM card slots, one each for Micro and Nano SIM cards. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat-based software out-of-the-box. However, the device lacks a fingerprint scanner.
As far as specifications of the Videocon Metal Pro 2 4G is concerned, the phone sports a 5-inch HD (1,280 x 720) screen featuring 294 ppi pixel density. Powering the handset is an entry-level MediaTek MT6737 quad-core SoC bundled with Mali-T720 GPU for graphics, and 2GB of RAM. Its 16GB of internal storage is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. It houses a 13MP rear camera and a 3.2MP selfie camera. The device packs a 2,000mAh battery.
