Twitter today replaced their old User Interface (UI) for a new one, and similar to the changes the company has been recently making, the users did not like them. Due to which within an hour of the new UI being introduced 30,000 tweets with jokes and memes were made mocking the new UI.

“Today, with lots of feedback and ideas from you, we’re refreshing our product too and making it feel lighter, faster, and easier to use. We listened closely and kept what you love”

Twitter blog.

The company also commented that this new user interface will be rolling out to each of their platforms in the coming few days. After the desktop site got updated their users started to tweet jokes and memes making fun of the new UI. Within an hour of the update, almost 30,000 tweets were made complaining about the new user interface.

This new redesign comes from the company as an attempt to better its services and attract new users to their platform. Twitter has been losing out users to its competitors like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat who are seeing exponential growth in their subscriber base, and this new layout might be the redemption that they were in desperate need of.
