Motorola has confirmed that the Moto M smartphone will be launching in India soon. The company in its Moto India twitter account posted a tweet about the launch of Moto M saying,”A phone that is Majestically metal, a phone that reflects you” with a 17 second video accentuating the Moto M branding.
The Moto M sports a full metal unibody design and has a finger-print scanner on the rear side of the device. It features a 5.5inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 401 pixel density. The phone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek P15 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with Mali T860GPU. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The mid-range smartphone is packed with a 3GB LPDDR RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The new Moto M has a double layer hydrophobic coating that provides water resistance to the device.
The primary camera of the device comes with 16 megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual LED flash. The front camera carries 8 megapixel with 1.12um pixel size. It has a battery back-up of 3050 mAh with fast charging support, type-C USB port and OTG support.
In its connectivity options, Moto M includes a dual sim slot, Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4GHz+5GHz band MIMO. The device also house Dolby Atmos-powered sound.
As Motorola retails the Moto M smartphone for 1999Yuan($295) in China, the price after conversion will likely cost around Rs.19,990 in the Indian smartphone market.
