Starbucks, an American company known for its unique coffee and espresso has introduced its official mobile app in India. The company had launched the mobile payment platform on Wednesday offering its customers a fast and convenient way to pay for in-store purchases and earn stars through their My Starbucks Rewards account using their mobile device.

The mobile app offers customers the convenience of paying for their Starbucks beverages with their phones by scanning a barcode linked to their registered Starbucks Card. The users can also can also register multiple Starbucks Cards onto their account by using the mobile app. The Starbucks India mobile app is available for download on both iPhone and Android devices.

Apart from making mobile payment, the consumers can also register for the My Starbucks Rewards program, earn stars, track and redeem their rewards, manage their accounts, and gain access to new product information and promotions. The app provides easy-to-locate the nearest Starbucks store as well.

For those who are not aware, Starbucks came to India back in October 2012 through a Joint Venture with Tata Global Beverages with a partnership of 50 percent shares. Starbucks brought its loyalty program in the country in 2014 and till date it has over 250,000 members under its loyalty program. The company currently operates in 91 stores across the country.
