Smartron has announced its exclusive Sachin Tendulkar branded smartphone, srt.phone, at an event in India today. The smartphone was unveiled by cricket legend and Smartron’s brand ambassador, investor Sachin Tendulkar.

 

The all-new srt.phone launched at a starting price of Rs. 12,999 comes in two storage variants- 3GB RAM+32GB storage and 4GB RAM+64GB storage. The srt.phone will be available exclusively on the e-retail site Flipkart.

Smartron is offering an extra Rs 1500 off on exchange and free Sachin Tendulkar back covers worth Rs 599 on its new srt.phone. No cost EMI for srt.phone starts at Rs 1167 per month. In addition, the consumers will get one-year t.care extended warranty worth Rs 1,499, for free with the new Smartron srt.phone.

Talking about the specifications, the cricketing star branded srt.phone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 resolution) display. The smartphone runs the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Stock Android UI and includes company’s tronX suite of apps. The new srt.phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. As for the camera, the phone features a 13-megapixel sensor with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.The device has a battery backup of 3000mAh and comes with Quick Charge 2.0 support as well. The Smartron srt.phone has a removable back cover and support USB Type-C port for charging which is located at the bottom. The fingerprint sensor on the phone is embedded on the back panel below the camera. There’s a 3.5mm audio on the top and the speaker grills sit at the bottom of the device.

Evidently, the India-based electronics and IoT company till date have brought two products from its labs- the Smartron t. book hybrid computing device which was the company’s first product and t.phone, Smartron’s mid-range flagship phone. The t.book tablet-laptop hybrid was launched in March last year at Rs. 39,999; meanwhile, the t.phone was launched back in May, 2016 at Rs. 22,999. The new srt.phone will be the third product from the Smartron brand.

The all new Sachin Tendulkar brand srt.phone will cost Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM+64GB storage model tags a price of Rs. 13,999.
