Oppo on Friday launched the selfie-focused smartphone, the Oppo F3 Lite in Vietnam. The F3 Lite is nothing new but rather a rebranded version of the Oppo A57 that was introduced in November last year. The phone arrived in India in January this year for a price of Rs. 14,990.
The Oppo F3 Lite houses just a few minor upgrades compared to the A57 like the onboard storage which can now be expanded up to 256GB against the 128GB found on the latter. As for the specifications, the device features 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 resolution) LCD 2.5D curved glass display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC (system-on-chip) paired with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using microSD card.
As for the camera, the Oppo F3 Lite carries a 16-megapixel camera up front with f/2.0 aperture which is the highlight of the smartphone. At the rear side, it sports a 13-megapixel camera with a f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash module. The phone runs a dated (two-year-old) Android OS, Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s ColorOS 3.0 skin layered atop.
The fingerprint sensor on the Oppo F3 Lite is embedded on the home button itself. The power button is pitched at the right edge meanwhile, the volume keys are placed on the left side of the device. The phone has a battery backup of a 2900mAh. Connectivity options on the Oppo F3 Lite include- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, FM Radio, and micro USB v2.0. The phone will come in two colour schemes- Gold and Black. It measures a dimension of 149.1 x 72.9 x 7.7 mm and weighs 147 grams. The Oppo F3 Lite is priced at VND 5,490,000 (roughly Rs. 16,000) and it will be up for sale in local market soon.
