Samsung in recent years has majorly focused its efforts on design. The Note Edge, Galaxy S7, S8 and Note 8 are proof of it. Previous reports have also suggested that the company is working on a foldable smartphone codenamed Galaxy X. Today, a new report from LetsGoDigital, a Dutch website, has surfaced stating Samsung is also working on a truly bezel-less smartphone. This means that the device’s display will not have even a notch of any sort like the iPhone X or the Essential Ph-1.
In the report we get to see, a series of WIPO (World International Property Office) patents which talk about how Samsung will be building a smartphone with a purely bezel-less display. Out of these series of patents, the one that stood out was filed back in May. It explained in detail how the company will build the bezel-less smartphone by bending the display and stretching it up to the back of the device.
If this phone comes to be, it can be also expected to come with improved edge gestures, in-display fingerprint sensors and a better Iris scanner (well, that is what I would want at least). It would be interesting to see where Samsung is planning to put the selfie camera and the sensors in the case.

Previous reports have also suggested that Samsung is planning to launch a flip phone globally in 2018. It can be a successor to the Samsung SM-W2017, the flip phone which is currently exclusive to China and South Korea.
