Samsung, on Wednesday, launched two new smart wearable devices in India, the Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear Sport. Both the devices were first showcased at IFA 2017 in Berlin. The Gear Fit2 Pro is a GPS enabled smart band with smart features at Rs 13,590, while the Gear Sport is a smartwatch priced at Rs 22,990. The Gear Sport will be available on Amazon and the Samsung e-store, whereas the Gear Fit2 Pro will be available on Flipkart and the Samsung e-store. Pre-bookings for both the devices will begin on December 4 and sales will begin on December 11.

The Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro will be available in Black and Black/Red colour variants. It sports a 1.5-inch curved Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It also features 5 ATM water resistance. Additionally, the fitness tracker has smart features specifically made for swimmers. These features include ways for the wearable to track a user’s stroke type, stroke count and lap count. The Gear Fit2 Pro also has an inbuilt GPS, a continuous heart rate monitor along with an automatic workout detection feature.
The Samsung Gear Sport will be available in Black and Blue colour variants. It sports a 1.2-inch circular shaped Super AMOLED display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The Gear Sport also features a 5ATM water resistance similar to the Gear Fit2 Pro. The Gear Sport primarily focuses on fitness with an ability to monitor the user’s nutrition, calorie balance and weight loss goals. Additionally, the Gear Sport can also be used for entertainment. It can connect to Samsung smart TVs via the Samsung Connect app and control the television. It will also support the Samsung Pay service with the help of NFC.
