Samsung is all up and ready to unwrap its next Note smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23. While many users are eagerly waiting for this flagship to unveil, the South Korean might have another surprise up its sleeves for it consumers. A recent leak suggests that Samsung might release a high-end flip flop phone very soon. The upcoming Samsung flip phone listed with the model number SM-W2018 is said to feature a clamshell design similar to its predecessor. Notably, just a week ago, details about the high-end phone surfaced which claimed that the device will pack Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line processor, Snapdragon 835, 64GB inbuilt storage and at least 6GB of RAM.

Leaked reports earlier have also indicated that the phone will feature two 4.2-inch displays with full HD (1920x1080pixels) resolution. The sequel to the SM-W2017 is expected to sport a 12-megapixel sensor on the back and a 5-megapixel sensor for shooting selfies.
Besides the alleged specifications list, a press render of the new flip-phone has also emerged revealing the handset from all angles. Looking at the renders one can notice the clamshell form factor with a hinge on top. On the front, there is a selfie camera, sensors and Samsung branding on top. At the back, we can see the primary camera with LED flash alongside and a fingerprint scanner located down below the camera. To the left, there is the power button and the SIM card slot. The volume rockers are placed on the right side, while the speaker grills and Miro-USB port sits at the bottom.
Evidently, Samsung SM-W2018 had been certified by China’s regulatory TENAA and the U.S. FCC (Federal Communications Commission) a few months back. However, reports have not mentioned whether the phone will be released in other markets outside of China. To recap, the previous version, Samsung SM-W2017 was announced in November 2016. The phone came with two 4.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED displays, 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 820 processor.
