Samsung Mobiles has today made an addition to its tablet lineup. The company today launched its Galaxy Tab Active 2 in Netherlands. It will cost EUR 500 (approximately Rs. 39,000), and as per a report by letsgodigital, the tablet will go on sale starting November end. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 comes with military standard MIL-STD 810G certification along with a display that will work even with gloves on. The tablet also comes with IP68 dust and water resistance certification. Additionally, the tablet also comes with S-Pen and Bixby voice assistant support.
As for the specifications, the device sports an 8-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It is powered by the company’s own octa-core Exynos 7880 chipset. It comes with 3GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card. It runs on Google’s Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and is backed by a 4,450mAh removable battery. The tablet also features a fingerprint scanner upfront embedded in the home button.
As for the camera, the device comes with an 8-megapixel primary camera with an LED flash. On the front, the company has provided a 5-megapixel selfie camera. As for the connectivity, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 rugged tablet comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C port. The company has also assured the people during the launch that they will also be launching an LTE model also. The company hasn’t yet announced as to when the tablet will go on sale.
