Samsung has reportedly confirmed to launch the 6GB RAM variant of Galaxy S8+ in Hong Kong on May 25.
According to SamMobile, Samsung at an event on Friday in Hong Kong confirmed the Galaxy S8+ 6GB RAM variant launch date alongside the launch of Samsung Pay. This Samsung Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage went official in April and Hong Kong market will be second region to get the device after Korea. The phone comes at 1,27,0000 South Korean Won without contract and is available through Samsung online store in Korea. It only comes in Midnight Black colour option.
In Hong Kong too, Samsung is said to be only launching unlocked Galaxy S8+ 6GB variant like the Korean market, which means users can buy it from there are use it anywhere in the world with any carrier.
The new Samsung Galaxy S8+ variant packs same internal specifications as the 4GB RAM variant, except this gets a 6GB RAM and bumped up 128GB storage. Also interestingly, this variant only comes with company’s own Exynos 9 (Exynos 8895) chipset and not Snapdragon 835.
Other specifications for Samsung Galaxy S8+ include a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED ‘Infinity Display’ with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1440×2960 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The rear camera on the device is a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash with OIS and f/1.7 aperture, where as the front accommodates an 8-megapixel auto focus camera with f/1.7 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens.
