Samsung’s premium Galaxy S8 series was launched in India for a price starting at Rs. 57,900. The price of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ was slashed to Rs. 4000 as part of Samsung’s Navratra special offer last month. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ 64GB model has now received a price cut of Rs. 2000 bringing the price down to Rs. 58,900.
The price slash has been revealed by the popular Mumbai-based retailer, Mahesh Telecom via Twitter handle. Notably, the 6GB RAM version of the Galaxy S8+ also got a price cut of Rs. 4000 in July. The phone received yet another price slash of Rs. 5000 in August making it a total of Rs. 9000 in just two months of launch. The smartphone launched at a price of Rs. 74,990 was available for Rs. 65,990.

To recall, Samsung’s premium flagship, the Galaxy S8+ arrived in India on April 19. The Galaxy S8 series comes equipped with Samsung’s proprietary Exynos 8895 octa-core SoC fabricated 10nm FinFET technology. As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy S8+ (Review) features a 6.2-inch QHD+ (1440×2560 resolution) Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone sports a 12-megapixel ‘Dual Pixel’ rear sensor with LED flash with OIS and f/1.7 aperture. The front accommodates an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with f/1.7 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens. The Galaxy S8+ packs a 3500mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone also has IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The 6GB RAM/128GB storage model is available only in one colour scheme-Midnight Black, while the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version of the Galaxy S8+ comes in four colour options- Orchid Grey, Maple Gold, Coral Blue and Midnight Black.
