After endless rumours hovering around the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung now seems to have finally set a date to unwrap its next Galaxy Note (fire-proof) device. The South Korean tech giant has officially sent out invitations for an Unpacked event which is scheduled to take place in New York on August 23.
While Samsung didn’t explicitly announce that it will unveil the Galaxy Note 8 at the event, the press invite showcases a silhouette of a device that seems to feature an Infinity Display quite similar to the one seen in the premium Galaxy S8. The invite also reveals the S Pen stylus and tags the slogan “Do bigger things” which clearly hints at the Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung in its press release said that the new Galaxy smartphone will be the ultimate multitasking device for those who want to do bigger things with their smartphone.
“This highly anticipated addition to the Galaxy roster was specifically designed for people who move through barriers to do more of what matters to them,” the company said in its press release.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to follow a similar design to the Galaxy S8 family, with edge-to-edge Infinity display. Rumours suggest that the phone will sport a 6.4-inch OLED display with same QHD+ (1440×2560 pixels) resolution of the Galaxy S8 series and 18:5:9 aspect ratio. The phone is also expected to feature dual rear cameras with two 12-megapixel lens. Rumous has it that the Note 8 will pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 processor, depending on region. It is said to offer 6 gigabytes of RAM and come in Black, Blue and Gold colours. The handset is rumoured to be made available globally in early September for a price of around 999 Euros which is roughly Rs. 72,120.
