Samsung has launched two smartphones from its new Galaxy J (2017) series at an event in New Delhi today. The all-new Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro has been announced with an affordable price tag of Rs. 17,900 And Rs. 20, 900 respectively. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max will be made available from June 20 while the Galaxy J7 Pro will go on sale from mid-July.
The new Galaxy J series smartphones will support Samsung’s Pay Mini payment solution. Through Samsung Pay users will be able to use Paytm and UPI to make payments by just tapping the phone on the Point of Sale (PoS) machine.
Speaking about its specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro features a 5.5-inch full Super AMOLED display with a 2.5D arc glass on top. The smartphone is powered by company’s own octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. The device offers 3GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via microSD card. As for the batteries, the Galaxy J7 Pro packs a 3,600mAh battery. The phone includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C under its connectivity suite. In terms of imaging, the Galaxy J7 Pro features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and LED flash. At front, it sports a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash for better selfies in low light condition.
Coming to the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, the smartphone houses a large 5.7-inch display with full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has a battery back-up of 3300mAh. As for the optics, the Galaxy J7 Max also sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera on the smartphone has a smart glow around the rectangular camera module. At front, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash.
In terms of design, both Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max has been crafted with a metal unibody. The devices come with ‘Make for India’ features as well that include Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode, S Bike mode and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max will be come in two colour options- Gold and Black.
As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max will be made available from June 20 while the Galaxy J7 Pro will hit the shelves from mid-July.
Samsung is offering an extra 120GB data for Reliance Jio users. In addition, the company is also giving a cashback offer of up to Rs. 800 for Paytm and UPI users.
