Early in January this year Samsung quietly launched a new smartphone from the C-series in Bhubaneswar, India. The 6-inch phablet Galaxy C9 Pro was announced with a price of Rs. 36,990 in the country. Although the smartphone was due for pre-booking by the end of January, the Galaxy C9 Pro have made its way two weeks later from the date stated earlier. The new smartphone from C-series is now available for pre-booking in Samsung’s official online stores till February 12.
The company is offering a one time screen replacement warranty for those who pre-book the phone. The terms and conditions for the pre-booking cite, “customers pre-booking the device shall be eligible for a One Time Screen Replacement during a period of 12 months from the date of activation of the device by paying only Rs. 990 at the time of availing the offer.”
Notably, the pre-booking benefits will be linked to the users phone number that is used for registration at the time of pre-booking. Users can also pre-book the smartphone in selected Samsung offline stores.
Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro in terms of specification features a 6-inch full HD (1080p) AMOLED display. The device runs on octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor clocked at 1.95GHz. it is coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. The phone comes with 6GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card).
On the optics front, the Galaxy C9 Pro sports a 16-megapixel primary camera with f/1.9 aperture with phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. The secondary camera features the same 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery and comes with fast charging support. This is a dual-SIM smartphone that supports USB type-C port.
Sensors on the Galaxy C9 Pro include: Accelerometer, Fingerprint, Gyro, Geomagnetic, Proximity, and RGB Light sensor. It has 4G VoLTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 3.5mm jack for headphone, in its connectivity options. The smartphone measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9 mm and weighs around 190 grams.
