Samsung today launched its third dual camera smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy C8 at an event in China. This is the company’s third dual camera smartphone after the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy J7 which were both recently launched. The company seems to be heavily pushing into the dual camera smartphone market, and it seems like Samsung will soon be unveiling more dual camera smartphones soon.
As for the specifications, the Galaxy C8 sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Two RAM and storage variants of the device have been launched – 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage, and 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage. The device even comes with the company’s Always-On display feature which allows the users to check their notifications without turning the display on. The company during the launch also said that the phone will feature facial recognition to unlock the device, in addition to this the phone also features a fingerprint scanner.
As for the camera, the Samsung Galaxy C8 comes with a dual camera setup on the back, with one 13-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture and the other a 5-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture. On the front, it features a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/1.9. Samsung says that with the dual camera brings the dual photo feature which allows the user to adjust the focus after taking the picture.
The Galaxy C8 is powered by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. It will be available in three colour options – Black, Gold, and Rose Gold. As for the price and availability, the company has not yet declared anything about these and has said that the details will follow soon.
