Samsung’s Galaxy A series smartphone Galaxy A9 Pro gets a price cut of Rs. 2,590 in India. Samsung India on Wednesday announced that the 6-inch phablet Galaxy A9 Pro will be available for a price Rs. 29,900 on the online e-retail platform Flipkart starting from March 3. The company said that the buyers will also be able to avail EMI and exchange offers. The phone will be available for purchase in Black, Gold and White colour options.
Samsung had launched the smartphone in India back in September last year with an initial price tag of Rs. 32,490. The smartphone was first revealed in China back on March 2015. The key highlight of the Galaxy A9 Pro is its immersive 6-inch Super AMOLED full HD (1920×1080 pixel) display and a massive 5000mAh battery that supports fast charging capability. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor paired with 4GB RAM. The Galaxy A9 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The fingerprint sensor is placed underneath the physical home button. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that comes with 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD slot. In terms of imaging, the Galaxy A9 Pro sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with a f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and LED flash. It house an 8-megapixel sensor on the front that also comes with f/1.9 aperture. Connectivity options include- 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, USB 2.0, and NFC. Sensors on the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro packs- proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, and gyroscope.
